bye bye blogger, hello [old] new home!

Well, it was fun while it lasted here at blogger...but I'm sick of not being able to respond to comments individually! So I've moved What Is It Wednesday back to fondofsnape.com; c'mon by each Wednesday and see if you can tell what the week's photo is!

A piece of bread :-)

Obviously I need to make this a bit harder...I don't think there was even ONE person who didn't get it last week!. Here's the first three:

Julie, with a very simple: "bread" I love a person of few words sometimes!

Goofygirl: "Bread!!". At least she used a couple of exclamation points!

Susan Helene Gottfried (big name!) not only got it right, she made it funny: "The spongy surface of the remnants of the underwater city of Atlantis. Instead of the water causing the surface to mold, it instead caused the roads to be paved with ... bread.
If they could figure out how to grow penicillin on that bread, they'd be in business.
"

I'd like to thank Robin for not only getting it right, but also for commenting on the eye picture (it WAS gross!!!): "Bread!! (And ewwww on that eye picture)"

And finally Transvestite Bait had my favorite: "it's the top slice of bread on a triple decker Johnny, Viggo, Snape sandwich! (although i prefer extra Viggo and hold the Snape) (heh, i said 'hold the Snape')"

Eek! Pink eye! Not my eye, btw, it belongs to my favorite IT guy at work.

I can't believe ALL of you got this last week! Smart, smart, smart. Here's the first three:

Julie: "Crikey Moses, this is tough!
Part of an item of clothing maybe? No, no, I've got it. It's an eye.
"

Ladybug12: "It is the iris, the colored part of the eye."

Goofygirl: "Looks like an eye!"

Then Amy wondered: "I agree with everyone else...its an eye...but it has a freaky face in it...do you see it? Like a tiki face? I can't be the only one to see it...am I?" Is she the only one?

Susan had my favorite: "An eye? Puh-lease. It's an ultrasound of a to-be-born angel."

Yup! Yummy peanut butter!

Most of you got it right this week; here's the first three:

Michelle: "I say peanut butter. Happy Wesnesday!"

Lisa: "Creamy peanut butter. I’d like some on the apple I’m having for my morning snack."

Robin: "Peanut butter! No way I'd miss this with the amount my kids consume each week LOL."

Buddha's hand citron (ignore the meyers lemon sign LOL, that was for something else. I took the shot in a supermarket)

No one got it right this week, but Michelle was the one that came closest: "It is a food of some sort a root/vegetable kind of food"

The rest of the answers REALLY made me laugh...you should check them out!

It's a thermometer!

Deb R, who's off on a cruise, the lucky dog, was the first: "Tip of a thermometer?"

The only other person to even mention a thermometer was Tommie: "but my other guess is an icicle on an thermometer"

MissMeliss, of course, knows how to get to me: "A lust potion settling into Sev's favorite beaker, after having nearly boiled over because he was distracted by bloggers whispering about him."

Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm :-)

One of my friends and I exchanged Christmas Stockings this year...long story short, one of the things in my stocking was 5 tins of this lip balm, so I could have one in my purse, at work, in the car, everywhere and not be without it :-)

Anyyyyway, most every one of you got it right...again! Hmmm...wonder if you guys are just getting smarter? Here's what the first five of you said:

Lisa was the first, altho she wasn't exact: "...green lip gloss in a pot..."

My blogless cousin, Mel: "Lip balm, wax of some kind or you're got quite a cold and what are you saving that stuff for?"

Kandy: "I think it is lip gloss in a container of some kind."

L-Squared: "At first glance it looks like a fingerprint in something like maybe lip gloss"

Sara: "I'm going to say "lip balm"!"

These next two, both medical professionals, made me laugh:

Heather: "It makes me think of a petri dish... :P"

Laura: "hey, what are you culturing there?"

Hot chocolate with marshmallows!!

Again, most every one of you got it right (I can see we're going to have to make this a bit harder)!

DebR was the first: Foamy, yummy hot chocolate with mini-marshmallows melting on top.

Saucy had the funniest comment: "Orphaned mini-mallows. The giant puffy ones ran away with the cherries."

Yummy, delicious cashews!

Almost every one of you got it right!

Goofy Girl: Looks like it is a nut!! (ok, she wasn't specific, but she's cute and she does a HELLUVA blog design!!!)

Robin: "Ooh, ooh, it's a cashew! (Hey, that rhymes LOL.)"

Laura: Yep, Im going to have to go with cashew - salted of course!

Dyane: A lone cashew, acting as a distraction so that the rest can escape before being munched!

Michelle, who's currently blogless, said very succintly: "It's a cashew."

MaryEllen, more commonly known as ME, who is also blogless, said: Oh thank goodness its a cashew, I was feeling so sorry for that little Travelocity gnome fella.

Mel, my blogless cousin, was the last; she said: It looks like a cashue to me.

Susan had the funniest one: "Dammit, I always knew I'd lose my nose the minute it wasn't attached to my face!"

On this, the first Wednesday of 2008, L-Squared, my co-contributer, has provided the picture!
